Re: stubby brake levers for k3... k9/10 fit?
I know im being abit stupid but only got back from me hols about hour and half ago to find the perch had arrived.
the plug from the switch gear doesnt fit into the new switch ....and so i dont destroy it, so if you could be so kind as to either post some pics or a nice step guide on the best method i would appreciate. thanks. |
Re: stubby brake levers for k3... k9/10 fit?
Take the old switch apart so you can pull the spade connectors out, then simply plug them in to the new switch, don't think it matters what way they go round just experiment. Simples. Sorry no pics.

Thanks again gareth.
No problems with water getting at it yet?? |
Re: stubby brake levers for k3... k9/10 fit?
I just pulled the spade connectors out the old switch*, filled the new switch area/covered the spades with grease and pushed them in and wiped away the excess grease, I also pulled the new switch apart and cleaned/lubed that.
I picked a gsxr 600 k1 perch up for £12, fitted it in about 15mins and all seems to work fine, the brake lever is perfect but the clutch lever does seem to have a bit of up and down wobble to it, need to have a better look at it and might try to make up a spacer to take some of the slack up, Water shouldn't be a problem with that much grease in there......I hope. *Took about 20mins of effing and blinding, poking and prodding the spades to try and get them out. |
