Im not a fan boy by any means, at home I have XP, Vista 7 and at work i use XP mainly
I will never buy another iphone, I cant understand how apple can charge 350quid on top of an ipod touch for a GSM module,
I do believe the iphone is the best phone on the market however i dont think its twice as good as android, its a 10% better phone that costs twice the price.

I paid £1120 for my macbook pro 18 months ago, at the time I was looking for a 13" laptop with a good batery life and lots of performance, for around the same price I had the choice of a Sony laptop with the same 2.53ghz CPU but only 3 hours battery life :( or i could of gone with an acer timeline for £900ish which did 9 hours battery but had a ULV cpu in it at around 1.5ghz :(
My battery has had 350 cycles and is currently sat at 93% of its original capacity.

Being a keen photographer windows totally lack any features, you cant preview canon raw files in the native OS (there is a codec but it doesn't work for 7 x64). Also if anyone has run adobe photoshop on mac it runs a lot better than on windows. For work I find having access to a linux command prompt very useful, SSH access, ability to do diff check on backup configurations... the list goes on.

Like it or not, the ipad invented the modern tablet just like the iphone invented the modern smart phone.

However tablets (of any brand) still have their uses maybe not to the average consumer, a friend of mine is a wedding photographer, his ipad allows him to take his portfolio everywhere with him to demonstrate to potential clients,

A friend of mine spend a small fortune putting a pc in his car (dont ask lol) to control all his media etc, cost him about a grand for a touch screen and custom build car-puter, A tablet would do this for half the price.

The games/apps can be fun as well as extremely useful

Regarding operating systems, windows will always be crippled by its popularity, the fact that they have to keep making it backwards compatible is a huge disadvantage. No doubt Microsoft employ the worlds best programmers and if they were given a clean sheet for windows 9 no doubt it would be a ground breaking product however if they do drop backwards compatibility people would just jump onto linux as its free

Someone I know who's a graphic designer reckons macs are better for design.
Personally I just think she's tried some sh*t software on windows but any truth in that? Some graphic software only available on OSX or soemthing?
