A Hi-Vis jacket could mean the difference bewteen life and death.

nope, not missing. Having lain in the middle of a road before, it is something I have thought of and discarded.

I have worn em in past. Found car drivers often stamp on brakes to get down to speed limit  thinking you are police. Not for me thanks.PLUS I am a mechanic for First Bus and it is compulsary for staff to wear them at all times.PLUS PLUS if I never see another whineing bus driver again it will be too soon

Was it :smt075 or did those two end up  :makelurve:

quick synopsis - heated debate over a very controversial opinions then someone got barred for life. Ths thread started very much like this with toys being thrown then insults and then boom! all out of proportion it went.

Just fed up seeing things being take out of context

I know I'm new to the forum but I'm impartial for the time being and the only person taking things out of context was kate. Everybody else stuck to their points.

Surely people didn't get banned for this. I've seen a whole lot worse on other forums.

But maybe I should ignore the possible scorn from my riding pals?

If Northy's thinking is correct, The donning of a tasty day glo garment might temper my riding to a degree? I have to admit that I have been riding in a rather frisky manner of late. :?

Can sort you out with one of these Peter

Just remind me, how many X's in front of the L?

Peter Henry 03-10-06 11:08 PM

Maybe your not familiar with where I live mate? Very different biking culture here. We are fortunate to always ride in conditions of very good visibility also.

From Here. Bargain at 10 quid, and its waterproof (which my codura jacket is proving not to be from time to time). Zip front, doesn't flap at 70mph, they are policeman sizes though, medium is good me in my bike gear (I'm 6' tall).

MT

This is £4.70 plus £8.17 postage  (regardless how many)
Anyone want to buy in a group purchase? to share the postage?

Stu, apologies for being a latecomer - Yep count me in for a jacket. If a medium fits a 44" chested 6 foot guy then I'd best have a small, as I'm a 40 inch chest.

Will send PM.

P.S. I guess we'll have to pay extra postage as I'm assuming they'll send them all to you, not to each of us individually?

Cheers Keith
