I know other riders moan but they moan with a purpose, like tyre's tbh its fairly obvious to anyone that the Michelins on the track wernt upto it. So a very valid moan imo. But Stoner just moans constantly. I know before the race he said something (unfortunately cant remember what now :() moaning and I though, comon man sort it out! Sigh.

No arguing though, him and the Ducati is rediculously fast. If it stays like it is though Motogp is doomed to the history books though as WSB is going to steel the lime light with very exciting and competetive racing!

Stoner is a top class rider, one of the best you will ever see,so live with it and enjoy the spectacle and give credit where its due.

Although I only skim read the thread, I dont think anyone has questioned his ability. we all know that they have carefully managed public personas, its just that whoever manages Stoner makes him come accross as a complete twŁt. What I thought was funny at Donny last year was the fact that he won and then went on a rant about the fact that the crowd where calling him a wŁn4e$ and he didnt understand why? I think its the continualy "I win its all down to me" "I loose its the bike or somone elses fault" Im not saying that no one else does this but he seems to do it more than most.

It doesnt help that he rides for the Marmite team either.

On a final point, I am not saying he cant ride but the electronics have a lot to do with it and the fact that they have been tailored to his style. He has absolute raw talent but in his first year in GP he couldnt stay on the bike. This is amply demonstrated in any wet race. Watch Stoners throttle position through a corner, even in wet races he has an "on off" style, there is very little feathering at all. Dont get me wrong it takes balls of steel to trust the electronics at those speeds, but you do that on any other GP bike and you would be spitting gravel weeks.

all this i may look happy but inside i'm not happy from Stoner  not disputing he can ride tho

Of course, he's a huge talent - I'm just fed up with the whinging. I had a chuckle at the *I may look happy" one, what a tube.

He isnt the saint that some people think he is IMHO.

I certainly don't think he's a saint, but he's a lot easier to like than Stoner. Even in defeat.

I was impressed by Stoner. If this race had been toward the end of last season then I think he might well have dropped the thing once Rossi started to close in, but he appears to have shaken the monkey off his back - the one which was there since Laguna.

Don't say the Ducati is a bike you can ride with on/off throttle inputs. You really think Hayden couldn't just do that if it was so simple? And I'm pretty sure Ducati would tell him that the electronics are really good and can be "turned up" so high that you can ride with on/off throttle positions and be quicker. Nice high-side by him, perhaps they just forgot to switch it on. Will it be another season of "The Ducati is awesome, Stoner's not that good, and they're sabotaging rider 2's efforts with an inferior bike."?

All the bikes have electronics, they all use that "snap it open" technique to some extent, it certainly isn't just Stoner, and if that were the "key" to being mega quick, then they'd all be mega quick because "key"s don't come much more simple than that.

He was 6th or 8th at Qatar last season, so he obviously can ride well. I think it's a head thing with him, bit like Melandri last year - who seemed to be putting in some cracking laps Monday evening even though he went in the gravel!

Stoner was hell fast around that track and like others have said you can't deny he's a bl00dy good rider.

But he does come across as a tit sometimes.

Still surprised about the whole Stoner bashing.

He is a class act and should be considered thus.

Liked Melandri on the Kwak...it looked real sweet.

Edwards was real good. Best positon he could get was 4th and 4th he got.
