Nice, when you look at it the braking power is all the same and the acceleration is only about half a sec difference. Even with the power of only 69 bhp, the SV makes it all at only 8k, where as all the others kick in at 10k, same with the torque. I recon if Suzuki did a little fiddling with the engine they could push those figures back up.

Er no....anybody could come on here and say that. Name the two publications, name the (non sv) race team, name the SV tuning company.

MCN, Performance Bikes, Hawk Kawaski all jointly shared Bruntingthorpe Testing Grounds.

And the Bike magazine tested top speeds are 129 for slow un-aerodynamic curvys, and 133 for graceful sleek pointies.

I think the point here is saying that x is the max speed serves no useful purpose, They do 125-135 depending on conditions. (Speedo reading is a different matter)

Speedo readings are all b******s . I,d guess that many cars, bikes, whatever, will differ. Take a dozen of the same machine and test them with the same rider/driver and I'd bet that they would all produce slightly different results.BTW I've had 142 out the bike and 148 out the car but niether of these will be true readings and both are over manufacturers claims. Anyway I'd rather be shown a nice set of twisty's than sit in top gear bouncing off the rev limiter along a long straight piece of road.

125 on a private road, it was still building speed but my mum said I was not allowed to play anymore and that I had to come in for a bath ready for school.

Yes you could, but at the cost of losing a lot of low end grunt.
