Morning all.
Sounds like it could be water in the carburettors. It would be worth draining them. The drain screws are a bit of a pain to access, particularly on the front cylinder. You'll need a long 5mm ball ended allen key, & a small torch for this task. If indeed there is water in them check inside the tank with a torch, water will appear to be a sort of jellyfish lurking at the bottom. If you have water in there then obviously you'll have to drain the tank. Cheers. |

Water will appear as a sort of jellyfish lurking at the bottom. Obviously if you have water in there you'll have to drain the tank completely, & dry it out. Cheers. |

I used to have the water in the fuel problem, but I use a few cap fulls of Wynn's dry fuel and it's sorted it out.

Does anybody else use methalyted spirits in the tank to let water burn off?

I doubt that meths will damage the tank, I've never tried it a an aid to removing water. It might damage the engine if you lob too much in though. Cheers. |
