You'll also need a well rounded and highly developed vocabulary of curses, as you can guarantee anything on the SV front carb will be siezed solid.

If the front plug was black and sooty when you took it out,I suggest another look at the choke plunger on the front carb.They stick on,and cause a rich mixture,hence rough running and a sooty plug.

If it was that why would it run better with the choke on?

(unless with the back plunger out, the carbs were balanced rich...)

Worth checking all the same, replace the screw with a stainless allen bolt when you remove it.

well she is being striped down as we speak!!!!! no water in the carb, plugs ok!!! we shall see miss money penny!!!! Brrrrrr its cold out ere!!!!!!

Done all of your sugestions, cheers....... But!!!!!! It still runs like a bag of ****e!!!!!! :smt010:smt010:smt010:smt010:smt010:smt010 Got some redex and put some in the tank, and not made any difference, yet. One thing I have noticed is the exhaust is full of black carbon...... and one of the front inlet valves, the clearance was closed up. But been sorted.. Any other suggestions before I pay silly money for a Suzuki dealer to charge me £100,000 for just looking at it!!!!!
Oh, and on a roundabout, it cuts out, and also at junctions, perhaps she just doesnt like going slow?????!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D

sticking choke!! Give it a wiggle and follow the cable, you'll see where it should spring back to on the carb.

Well my Jasper is still poorly.

Stripped & all carbs ok
Choke plunger all ok
Fuel pipes all ok.
Plugs changed
Redex in fuel & full tank on Super Unleaded @ SUPER blo#dy price !!

CDI unit is unlikely, they tend to either work or not.

Try a timing light, go for a ride and when its misbehaving see if the light stays on constant or flickers, try this on both cylinders

Also check that the little cap on the vacuum nipple on the front pot hasn't cracked up with heat and age, mine did and it was running like a bag of $hit untill I realised what it was.
