I'm with orange which is free with some phone contracts so wouldn't matter if you were tied in for 12 months!

If you are going to use a BT line, then I'd reccomend BT for your BBand. Not because I have anything good to say about them, I don't - but mainly because if your line is with BT but your BBand with someone else, they forever blame each other for the crap service and you get nowhere. I absolutely completely don't reccomend a BT line / Orange BBand combination.

+1. I use Zen and rate them highly. They are more expensive, though, but they work on a business standard service model rather than chasing price like most others. BT network limitations means I can only get about 2Mb/s download speed from anyone's "up to 8Mb" product, but they told me that before I signed and that is what I get: 2-3Mb/sec pretty much all the time, every time.

1 month rolling contract, which is probably as good as it gets if you decide to go elsewhere. No issues with tied equipment, use whatever router you want.

Buy just a pint less every week and you've probably saved far more than the extra cost of their service!

My girlfriend is nodding so furiously that her head has just fallen off.........
...... No, she's not a blow-up doll.

Have gone for VISPA, as they seem to be regarded very well, nice monthly contract, and very easy to talk to....

Cheers all for you advice, and happy New Year
