Ummmmm... Not immediately, no. It will matter what and where in the system were shorted of course, at the switch end obviously it will allow the bike to ridden with the stand down, as the circuit will be as if the switch were in the 'up' position all the time. If it were shorted on the other side of the various bits of control then it might be possible, for instance, for the bike to be started in gear, (or whatever), as the starter inhibit would be bypassed.
Of course all of these 'problems' will be obviated by the addition of sense. Which is what was used when we didn't have endless bits of nannying guff making us 'safe' from riding off with the stand down etc, if we were daft enough to forget it.
Is this 'dumbed down' motorcycling I wonder?
