Bad luck mate - glad you're in one piece. Chin up, you'll be back on the road soon, and a bit wiser about those bloody manhole covers. They've nearly had me off in the past.

Cheers Keith

I thought I'd learned about them in my 30 years on the road...obviously haven't learned enough.

What a great idea. Off now to look in my box of 'modified' parts :)

Broken off ends of brake/clutch levers make good ones too, just make sure they're nicely filed smooth.

If it's written off my kids won't be upset, if they lose me then I'm the second dad my younger three have lost in their short lives. I am worth a lot more than the bike is, and I'm insured for a damn sight more...and I came off best.

Humans rock.

glad your safe could have been anybody! But you ain't just metal and plastic! Philosophy ain't gonna help here, passion is why you'll be back tommorow....

I'll be back here tomorrow because I still have another running and legal SV...and 5 other bikes.

You're right, it is about passion - I love bikes and what I can do on them.
