Surely that's reflected more in riding style and the tyre compound? Granted a sporty/sticky tyre will be low on tread by 5k miles.

However, on Pilot Road 2s, I see around 8k to a rear, so 5k would be just over half used! In that case, I'd pay £20 to get it repaired personally.

Ah but i know and ride with Tony quite frequently. Thus i know his riding style and have seen his tyres.

They're the standard Dunlops and the last time i saw them were a bit square. He could probably get another thousand miles out of them, but why not have some tasty rubber in time for summer. :cool:
