- The PS3 is cheaper
- I have finished this years lot of Uni work in October

Anyone know if the new 360 elite suffers from the red ring? I'd want a 360 over a ps3 (cost, dislike of Sony, lack of good ps3 games, more of a fan of project gotham than GT, etc.) but am a bit concerned by the ridiculously high numbers of them I hear breaking down.

I've learnt that good games just don't come down in price too. I waited for ages for COD4 to come down from £39.99 aaages ago. It's now £37.87 :lol:

After december 2007 xbox's were fixed.

The proble was they were getting more power than was need to run them which made them over heat. They now have a smaller power pack and better internal layout to aid cooling.

Any idea about the dvd drives failing? Mine isn't reading at the moment and it's a 2006 model :( I wouldn't care- It's only been used lightly for 4 months...

Yes, happens to mine sometimes. Only once or twice but it seems to be fine now. It'll probably breakdown when I try to play GTA4.

Rob, don't get too excited. I think play are located in Jersey, even if it's dispatched today I doubt it will arrive tomorrow. :(
