Re: Fuel queues...

The trouble is though it's only shut for a couple of days, they have to stop and restart production which takes ages. They started closing down grangemouth away at the start of the week, because it takes so long. So even a 1 day strike affects the plant for much longer, and with grangemouth out the platforms soon fill up the header capacity then the same thing happens to them, and they take time to restart too.

But still, there's loads of petrol swimming around, it's not like the hauliers strike when it wasn't getting to the stations.

Some of us *need* a full tank of fuel next week just to keep our jobs though ;) It's a 3 week strike and they have 9 weeks of reserve supply  The media are doing a great job here ](*,)

Ah, but a full tank IS normal usuage for you. It's all those people who do maybe 40 miles a week who'll rush out to put gallons of the stuff in their tanks that will cause the problem.

You know i don't care if there if there no fuel for a week, it will slow down the pace of life, which can only be a good thing.....I miss the simple life sometimes when the hardest choice of the day when I was in Mexico can I dive today? Yup so we kit up and dive and cook some food, perfect.

I wish life was like that here some of the time, oh look its sunny I have money for fuel lets go.

I've got a full tank, and there's a tin of fairly old unleaded in the garage somewhere, so hopefully all the cars will be driven off the road, then I can cycle to work, walk home (it's uphill) and then go for a ride on deserted roads :smt050
