Thanks for all the advise.

I think I will only turn left from now until I get some more training. :)

Thanks

I have to admit that I do not like getting into situations where I am having to apply full left or right lock with feet on the pegs. Can't seem to sense where the centre of gravity.. No feel. I've gone through two front brake levers, one clutch lever, rear brake lever and a mirror owing to 'fallovers' bloody embarrassing at the time. Now I use the 'sod how it looks, I'll get me feet down' on full lock turns. :-(

I've not got much time for those R&Gs, they're not very effective IMO. OK, I sound like a broken record but I tested them, they were too bendy and that reduces their effectiveness. I've crashed on other, cheaper bungs harder and they've worked better (motosliders, and the older R&Gs) The R&G replacement parts aren't cheap either :( GSG Moko, Motosliders, Motovation and the old JHS bungs are all better IMO, and most of those are cheaper too.

Crash bungs can't save everything... But they can help a lot. I jumped off mine at Knockhill at about 60, 70mph and the bike slid for miles, all it broke was a front lever (when it hit the gravel), ground the rear one down a bit, and took out the rear pillion peg- I rode the bike home. You can pretty well disable an SV just by dropping it at a standstill but crashbungs make that unlikely, too- which is handy if you drop it in a service station in a different country, like I did! One scraped mirror, instead of broken levers.
