So the standard bike can lean 68 degrees before touching down? Seems a bit high to me.

edit......yes, of course, compression. How much suspension travel/tyre deformation would you expect whilst at full lean? (How much would the "ride height" actually drop?)

erm 62 and 28 made 90 when i went to school but that is strictly uncompressed as if you just laid the bike over, all the forces involved i would guess any better than 45 as standard would be exceptional.

it aint no moto gp bike :p

Yes, 45deg compressed is about the mark (as derived from my Phoenix photos*). Obviously the faster the corner, presumably the more the suspension compresses, so even this is variable.

*Phoenix does have peg raiser plates on it - but its been argued, in practice, these give no clearance benefits.

I'm not sure, you turn tighter in slower corners, and achieve approximately the same lateral 'g' on the limit whatever the corner. Camber could compress the suspension more because it would allow for higher cornering speeds and higher 'g', but then it would also allow for more ground clearance so it probably evens out.

does this answer your question? i know its not a curvy but it cant be too different can it? my pegs dragged for a second or two

Or on a curvy, standard height suspension and pegs:

Hero blobs just on and off scraping.

Apologies for the pic whoring ;)

angle changes depending on where suspension is in stroke.

Wasn't the question maximum leaning angle? I read that as the biggest lean possible?

I reckon it's around 50 deg on mine. Measured the angle of a well ground foot peg using a spirit level with one of those adjustable dials. 12st rider with standard pegs and suspension.

Mine's an 'S' which I think has slightly higher pegs than the naked.
