Re: rasing the sv
no adjusting the chain is another pretty easy job loosen the rear wheel then use the 2 we chain adjuster either side of the swing arm 2 either tighten or loosen the chain.just make sure when you have the dog bones changed etc...you dont tighten the chain 2 much or not enough.

Re: rasing the sv
Reading/deciphering this thread made me weep.
That is all. |
Re: rasing the sv
Get the weight off of the front forks and undo the clamps and lower the forks through the yokes again until the fork top is flush with the top yoke (the fork top, not the fork cap. See the pic below for example.).
Also note you should not drop the forks on the SV650 more than 10mm for the road and never lower the forks beyond standard without stiffer springs, this includes when lowering the entire bike!!! Same goes for the rear really, get the weight off the shock and undo the bolts and swap over the linkage bars. You'll need a torque wrench by the way! I would advise you return both front and rear to standard to begin with! 'SV650K4' - The bike has been lowered front and rear, i.e. longer linkage rods on the rear and the forks dropped through the yokes at the front. |
