Im wearing my hoods right now :)

They can tailer them to your exact measurements which is nice, but I am not quite convinced by the velcro armour which feels like it would slip out of place easily if you were sliding down the road...

True that. But armour isn't really for when you're sliding down the road, it's most important in the initial impacts. Obviously better if it stays where it should though. A lot of the SV Rider buys wear seperate strap-on knee armour under jeans, that seems sensible to me. Hip armour stays where it's put.

Lily once gave me a link to an ebay seller that sold some armoured shorts(hip and coxxix armour in them) that you could wear underneath..think they were for motocross or something, not sure if her and drew got any but, they both wear draggins too. I wouldn't have minded some, but i know in summer the kevlar parts are tad warm!

Thanks for the feedback people, Ill have a look on ebay for some sort of under-jean armour :)

Oh and these kevlar hoods dont seem too hot, but we're yet to top 30 yet!

Speak of the devil and thou shalt appear. The shorts we wear are here and the knee armour here. Must admit they do get a little warm when not moving, but otherwise they are great.

Like Northy said we were worried bout the armour coming away in an impact, so this seemed the best compromise.

I have been riding in them to work and so nice for a change and more flexible than my leather or textiles. Plus, the shorts are padded enough to stop men delicate bits from smashing the tank too badly. lol
