I have been tempted, they seem to be so cheap at the moment, but i think the curvy with lowers looks more sporty.

Mike,

You can get just about anything to fit with enough engineering know how, access to workshops and a bit of fishing around bearing suppliers. Might even look at this set-up for mine!

Regards

Rich:D

Thanks Rich, gonna have a word with a small local engineering firm, spannering i can do myself.

It would be the easiest, but your buying quite old bits of kit now, and with age, (as some of us know) comes wear and slack.

Yes that is true, but the SRAD forks are far superior to SV forks. Plus whatever forks you get to make the most out them you will need to get them looked at anyway, whether 1997 or 2007.

The SRAD yokes drop in, not mods needed other than using a different head bearing!

8) is smilie code for :cool: so I meant (K4 to K8) are the same

IIRC the only major change in Gixxer forks lately is radial brakes which the K4 onwards have.

you mean internals?
most newest stuff is pretty good as is and if you choose carefully you can get set with right springs for your weight.
srad forks have soft springs.every model since has been stiffer and stiffer.
750 forks;
01-03=.80
04-05=.85
06-07=.90
1000 forks are one rate up for same years.

Agree, i would have them looked at and setup by someone who knows what their doing, use their settings as a baseline, and then have a play myself.
