so you will try again and the KD will be followed by your behind down as they randomly give way ... even though you have tried to warm them up ....

Never had any issues with the PR2's, I do prefer the Avon's though!

In short, yes it's possible. What you do with that information is up to you. ;)

+1. 15k miles on 2 sets of PR2's, and not a single grip related clench yet. Push them hard when cold & you're asking for trouble, as they're slow to warm, other than that, easy to scrape the pegs.

You could probably scrape the pegs in the wet if you're gentle enough ;)

You can get you knee down easy with standard dunlops on which are supposed to be deadly  I'm sure you will be fine with PR2

Yup I am nuts :). Bit of adrenaline junkie. I'm pretty confident on left turns, and can scrape the pegs easily. BUt right turns are another thing, crap at them!

By any chance is that mainly borne from a fear of on-coming traffic taking your head off? If so, sit wider in the corner. It'll kepp you neck in one piece should traffic come the other way & wide, but also provides a better view of the road ahead.

Just remember that when the pegs are on the floor, you're creating a triangular contact patch (front/rear tyres being the other 2 points of contact). It doesn't take much (bump in the road etc) to take one contact point out of the equation - and it's usually a tyre! KD is without doubt safer IMO, as your knee won't take the weight of the bike, so that's the contact point that gets removed if any.

Have fun trying anyway!
