I bought a pair of these last year - Triumph Hard Carbon, been really pleased with them. Very comfy, good feel and the armour looks pretty good.

Came out well in the Ride tests too:

I have a pair of these, and find them very comfortable. They've lasted well enough over the last 3 yeasr too, still looking pretty decent. Never tested them in a spill (yet!) though.

Oooooh soz! Someone asked a question about gloves, and I just answered, didn't read through the whole of the thread...

still, don't think you need to give me the w**ker sign!

HG also do a nice glove, their pro sport or something, very similar to the SP1, but with a Kangaroo palm, my mate has really liked these too. So a couple of suggestions for you to try.

I very nearly bought these HG gloves, Racing Extreme Carbon. Very soft and supple, pretty comfy. But they did not look like they would last very long and were focused towards track riders IMHO. Perhaps that was because the kangaroo hide palm was so thin?

I bought the Arlen Ness G-6037 gloves, as these seem to be very tough, fit me literally like a glove and are very comfy. I have only ridden about 200 miles in them so far and they need to break in some more to be super comfy, but really do feel like they will do the job.

I bought a pair of Alpinestars GP Plus gloves for £100 and although they've taken quite a while to break in (the right glove was tight across the knuckle armour and if I'm honest, it's still not perfect), they seem well stitched together and have protection in all the right places.

I have tried quite a few pairs of gloves, and i really like these http://www.teknicgear.com/catalog.php?styleid=1&pid=12 Also crash tested them twice and they stood up well to it with no hand injurys. The top of the range speedstar's are next on my list.
