Anyway, like you say, it's your choice. If it worries your other half that much then you need to decide what's best for your family. As for selling it, pick a price and advertise it for that. SV1000 aren't all that common, so I doubt it would have as much effect being winter as on a GSXR600 or CBR600RR or the like. If you can afford to wait then eventually you'll get the price you want. |

Just show her the insurance policy and how many pairs of shoes she could afford on her own;)

Or tell the other half you intend to take up landmine clearing as an alternative to biking.

I'm not sure you'll sell at the mo. I've had a couple of mates trying to sell different sorts of bikes recently and thy can't get rid, lots of people want to sell, but not a lot of people can afford to buy. lots of ebay bikes not meeting their reserve too |
Re: When to sell my SV1000 now or spring?
Very difficult to sell at the moment from what I've seen, so your decision may be taken out of your hands - may as well keep riding it while you've got it ;)
But if she does go (the bike, not the wife!)...how about a caterham/westfield/etc to replace it? If I had to go bike-less I think I'd look to try one of those for their bike-like properties... |
Re: When to sell my SV1000 now or spring?
Of course, it will cost you more than the SV1000, but that isn't a problem, if the wife wants you to sell the bike she has to put up with these things ;)
