and they say romance is dead.:-D

I had my wedding ring refashioned into a charm for my ex-wife's charm bracelet. It's in the shape of a small clenched fist with the middle finger extended.

Apparently she wasn't very happy when she discovered what the gift had been made from.

OOOh, someone planning on popping the question!!!!

Get her friend involved, my friend has just done this, took the other friend shopping, went to jewelers (how do you spell it?), to get supposed ring for self and said to friend, go on see what size you are, I'm sure you're smaller than me! She fell for it.
Sorted!

does she not wear a ring on the same finger on her other hand or is that too obvious? Presumably that finger must be pretty much the same size

Just buy her a kettle. She'll like it lots more.

He's got a good point though, a kettle is far more practical than a silly ring.

Aye but not as permanent. Not a very good symbol of a relationship should it break or just stop working. A ring however is solid, secure - as in shouldn't be taken off - and will therefore mean considerably more to the lady in question. You don't hear of women getting emotionally attached to kitchenware now do you? Or am I treading on dodgy territory here

My ex-housemate used to scowl at me if I went anywhere near her Le Crouset pans, so I think you may well be on dodgy ground here. Iam fiercely possessive of my kitchen knife set too
