noticed my front is starting to crack in the treads.2000 miles

Just been reading back threads in the tyres section and it seems that several people have had this issue. Would I be best contacting the fitter or going direct to Conti?

Go to Conti, they may give you a reasonable answer. I think it was Grinch who e-mailed them before, not sure though. Pr2 ftw = Pilot Road 2 - for the win :)

Yeah I think I will do that actually, but who needs a school? After you fall off a bit you soon learn. I am actually looking for a set of dual-sport tyres really though.

Yeah all seriousness, tis the best way to go, after reading Baph's review on the PR2's they seem the better option. I did have some Pilot Sports (yeah the cheapy deal ones), oh how nice and suprising they were, they only lasted a few miles, but still not a bad tyre for the wet, the best I had, and thats rating them above the road attacks, but to be fair they were on a different bike :)

Yep the Conti website states that they should be run 36/42 on the SV, which surprised me.
Though its how I run them and it seems fine.

The Avon Storms seem to be getting as good miles as any dual compound because of the reactive footprint thingy it has. I went for them and so far so good have a read in the Tyres section mate.
