If a hard top is put on over the load space and reduces the permissable load carrying capacity below 1 tonne, your're fooked tax-wise.

Oh, it looks as though the vehicle must have designed to carry goods, primarily. Seems HMRC look closely at double-cab pickups...

yeah have seen that, just need to make sure the Weight of the hard top doesnt reduce the payload capicity to under one tonne... but then who the feck would know... (shhhh) lol

Ha whilst looking about apparently Hard Top is officially 45kg which makes the Navare Payload exactly 1000kg. Didnt investigate further as I didn't really know what was going on. But it may be of some use.
