Is it not possible that as you had a bad connection the light was intermittant and therefore the cars thought you were flashing them out???

What i am hating at the monet is the ammount of dozy car drivers that are driving around on sidelights when its dark, i mean, WHY! Its nto going to use more fuel you spanners, and it makes seeing a black car/van/taxi/4x4 easier to see on dark roads, especially when one of your sidelight bulbs is broken!

+1

Ive also seen loads driving with no lights on which results in me flashing them loads to get them to switch them on.

There also seems to be laods of cars with one headlight out

What about when you don't want it on?

Daytime running lights are not a panacea, beware.

Too right. Dozy drivers pull out all the time, light or no light.

As a sidetrack, I had a near death experience one night on the Motorway last year riding a bike that only had one tail light bulb. It had blown and I nearly got squishered by an artic. I'd checked it before I left the house though. Something not to take for granted if you have a bike with no backup bulb.

I was walking home from the pub the other evening when some silly cow was sitting at the lights without her headlihgts on. I walked over and signaled to her that she needed to turn them on (it was 11pm) she ignored me so I politely mouthed through the window "headlights" and again pointed to her lights. she just looked terrrified and drove off??? She didn't even have her side lights on FFS!!!

Yet more proof that women should be banned from operating a vehicle.

Now now Dan, you know thats not what I was implying - having said that, my girlfriend did admit to doing exactly the same thing - she couldn't work out why all these drunk people were jumping out infront of her car and waving frantically at her, so she just ignored them and turned the stereo up. She is not the most observant of drivers I have to say!
