No. All the motorcyclists I come across are always very considerate and follow the road rules. I move over whenever I can to let them pass.

The key point which makes many cyclists annoying is that they break the road rules.

To be fair to them, i doubt many of them actually know the road rules. I don't.

And so do a lot of motorcyclists, I've witnessed some very discourterous behaviour from other motorcyclists, both when I've been on my GSXR and my car.

There will always be some people from every category (car drivers, motorcyclists, pedestrians etc) who break road rules and give others a bad name.

aye there's some nobs on bicycles.... and there's some nobs on motorbikes. There's also nobs in cars and vans, even busses and lorrys!

To be fair he might have been breaking the rules but if I'm completely honest, I don't think I'd have told you to f**k off straight away, but maybe asked what it's gotta do with you? Fair enough he's riding against the traffic on a road which is in fact closed, so if he gets knocked off, I'm sure it'll be some other road users fault in a small claims court, but I'd have just left him to it... One less nob on the road maybe?

"F*&*K Off" then getting off his bike and pushing it down the road on the pavement.

Sounds fair enough. I would do the same.

Isn't this is a bit like envious car drivers complaining about bikers filtering through traffic?
Not complaining about the pushing down the road - just the ignoring the road closed sign

Yup.

I probably see more cars and motorbikes being inconsiderate to cyclists.

Talking about pavement. I once had to bump my bike across a pavement but noticed this guy with a baby in a pushcahir walking towards me(still miles away). I switched the engine off and waited. Guy as he gets to me starts eyeballing me and muttering under his breath, so I asked him if there was a problem here.

His reply was something along the lines of, "shouldn't be riding on the pavement" FFS I was at 90 degrees to kerb , switched engine off when I noticed him...as it was quite a high kerb so you had to be very careful/slow getting up. didn't want engine running by the time he was very close....thinking of the baby like

Anyhoos told him to feck off. He then informed me he was a Police officer and my reply to that was, "soooo, do you want a bloody medal" :-D

I thought you said 'pushing it down the road on the pavement'

I thought you'd stopped to have a go at a cyclist who was considerate enough to get off and push his bike on the pavement.

Everyone needs to ride a bicycle through town to understand cyclists.
I only ride two miles to work, and stick to the rules. :smt083 but, unless you see it you would not believe the sheer bloody minded treatment I get from bikers, car drivers and pedestrians... plus abuse, abuse, abuse.
