I`ve forgotten where I have parked my bike sometimes and walk away from it and get halfway across town and realise that it is back the other way . I even reported my TZR as stolen once , it turned up in the shop where I had left it for a Chain and Sprocket and I felt a right Kernob when the Policeman explained it was there and I went "Oh Yeaaaaaah"

Trust me , I got a right ticking off , It was a genuine mistake , I had a lot on that day with getting my mum a present and the bike being sorted , and I had a heavy night previously involving alcohol and much staggering home . It was the fact that the bike shop was opposite the police station and they saw it outside where Kevin used to put them after servicing as his workshop wasn`t that big . They drove past and spotted it and asked inside about it . They almost accused him of stealing bikes and breaking them . I never lived that down with him :)

You nutter!

Ive only done something like that once. I was on the back of matts bike and we had just picked up some food for our dinner that evening (yipee for the topbox). We were halfway down the road & matt stopped at some traffic lights when I remembered that we forgot the burger buns..

Me: "Matt we forgot burger buns"
matt: "what?"
Me: "burger buns!" (slightly louder)
Matt: "whaaaaaaaat?" *shrugging shoulders"
Me: (at the top of my voice) BURGER BUNS!!

But..at that exact moment when I screamed burger buns, a really fat lady was walking towards us. She must have thought I was directing an insult at her, Ive never had anyone look at me so evily in my life! :smt019

Woops!

I once had a girl working for me that thought her car had been stolen from the company car park, she panicked, she cried and she phoned the police and her family.

We were talking through where she may have left it as she wasn't 100% sure she'd even come to work in it that day. After we'd retraced her steps for the past 2 days, she figured out where it was. It was in the city centre, in an unloading bay. It had been there for well over 24 hours and hadn't received 1 parking ticket!!

Also had another friend that whilst on a comedown, drove his car to the local shops to get some munchies. A few hours later, he went outside and couldn't find his car. After a little while he remembered that he had walked back from the shop. He'd left it outside the shop in a bus bay (on a Sunday) with the engine running!!

I know some right numpties!!

Long story short.

I used to work away from home a lot. I moved from Cheltenham to Lincolnshire. After working away for a week shortly after moving, I forgot I had moved. I drove (with caravan in tow) over a hundred miles in the wrong direction.
