Shelly, thanks for the offer, but after fizzwheel feedback on the handling I think we are going to start on the sculpted seat and then see how it goes...

I have the sculpted seat, you can buy an original Suzuki one for £35, cheaper than having your seat scooped out and shaped and you get 2 seats that way too.

I got the genuine lowered seat from my local dealer - £32.

Its not a lot lower, but definately makes a difference. It also makes it a bit less comfortable, but you soon get used to it. I wouldn't want any more foam taken out of it....

As for lowering the front, you could see from the marks left on the fork stantions on mine that they had compressed pretty close to the clamp, ie if you dropped them there is a chance contact would be made.

If you're thinking of doing it I'd strap a zip tie around a forks leg, get her to ride for a couple of weeks then see how far up it gets pushed, before you do anything.

Try the seat first. Makes going backwards a lot easier as well!

I'm the guy that's just bought the SV of 'Spokey', which has the sculptured seat on. I'll happily swap it for the original if you like.

maybe if I drop 25mm on the back, I should drop 25mm on the front? so it matchs? errm.... not sure if it would work like that.

If you dropped the front by 25mm the front mudguard will hit the radiator.
It will be a suck it and see figure, but I doubt it'll go further than ~15mm.
