Seriously, I get a clunk quite a lot of the time, having had 2 SV's and rode a friends a few times with standard forks, they all do that sir.

I think it's the headstock clunking around.. But the sv's front end is so cheap it flunks straight from the factory :(

This is exactly what the dealer said when I mentioned this very problem to them - they say its natural. I get the clunking ALL the time.

ok, well, i tried what Haggis suggested today. propped the bike against a wall, and without squeezing the brakes i pumped the forks. and they were smooth. no knocks or bumps. so it seems like the SV is tougher than i though
