Folks, thanks for the comments, I just feel I need to be careful that no-one else replicates what I did in a similar situation.

I fully accept the risk that the guy could of stuck the car in reverse & floored the loud pedal. Thankfully he didn't, but that thought did cross my mind as I pulled up behind the car.

Which was my entire motivation for posting. :) Even in North Wales, coppers can be nice (sorry Lozzo et al). In two days running, I've come across two different coppers that were pretty damn good about things. :)

Apart from the one who pulled me up in Hilderstone. "Afternoon, anything wrong officer" I said. "We'll find something" he muttered. He did too :(
