Well, this is good and bad in a way.

It's bad because violence solves nothing, ever. Never. Ok, you may win the fight, but you will almost inevitably you lose the war. I'm 17, I should be out drunk, beating up people for looking at me wrong and yet people sometimes twice my age act as if they're younger than me, I mean really come on Britain! (not saying you are in this particular case :|)

Either way! The only reason to fight is because it's a matter of "you or them", IE a hooded youth trying to mug you or someone stealing your bike!

If your lads mates 17 year old sister (cousins brothers aunties daughter in law's niece anyone?) was in bed with him then that's her choice, at the end of the day the consent age is 16 and by then most women know if they want to be making the sexy time with someone. Either way if your son/your sons mate or whoever disapproved, then that's tough, frankly. Her body and her choice. Perhaps the furthest anyone should go is to perhaps try to make her do otherwise.

If your son caused the damage by kicking his door and the damage to the wall by throwing this nutter guy through it, then your son should pay. But hey, I'm just a bystander.

Don't get me wrong, I think some people deserve a beating as well as the next guy, but deserving one and giving them one are two different stories!

It's good because it's kind of funny at 4.30 am. ;)

If his mates sister went willingly to the sack with the guy why is your son interfering in her life. Secondly if she had been drinking in the pub,why was your mate the landlord allowing a 17year old to be served if that is the case scenario.
Your son has taken it on himself to do this so let him take the consequences of his own actions,he's over 18 and bravado comes expensive when things get nasty.
I have two sons and from the time they have been over 18 they have been responsible for their own conduct in life.
He,your son, made his bed so let him lie in it and perhaps he will become a bit more thoughtful before his fists start before his brain and expects you to bail him out of the ****.
Not quite the same as a car breakdown where he asks for a bit of help,is it? I am not advocating standing idly bye,but it really is not your problem as far as the repairs are concerned.

i agree with DT above. Its your sons problem. He will never grow up if you keep helping him out of scraps.

When you let/make them.

His crap to clean up - and no matter how much trouble the other lad is, nothing to be proud of there - your Son has just taken the other guys crown, so others will now try and take it off him in turn.
