if its only the front end that's fooked it wont be hard to repair...you may have to make it naked just to get you on the road cheaply though |
Re: Just had my 1st off
if you need parts give me a shout but i will leave you now to think that yes it was **** and yes you are angry but it could have been worse and you'll be back on the road soon

Re: Just had my 1st off
That looks like a fair knock.
Sometimes sudden shock that snaps forks does less damage to frame than a push that just bends the forks but stress cracks the frame. If you need any advice about fixing it feel free to PM. |
Re: Just had my 1st off
i cant work out if yout unlucky or really lucky!
Its an unlucky time when anyone comes off, but I cant belive you've only cut your knee!!! One of your nine lives has gone there. The bike looks fixable at first glance but like you say the only the frame will tell. |
Re: Just had my 1st off
Glad you're OK, judging by the damage to the bike you weren't exactly hanging about.
Easiest way to load it is probably to wheel it into the transit backwards, either up a steel ramp or a plank. It's still a two man job, but hopefully the salvage folks will be feeling helpful. If you can lay your hands on a sturdy plastic crate you can probably rest the engine on that, then secure the headset and back wheel to the side of the van with ratchet straps. I don't know what the bodywork looks like, but you might want to take an old blanket along to prevent further scratches and scrapes while you're driving it home. |
Re: Just had my 1st off
