Sorry to drag this thread back up but I sent my mum and dad the link to this thread and they were overwhelmed at the level of compassion you showed. They really appreciated your messages and wanted to say thank you.

They also thought you might like to know that Grandad was a dispatch rider in world war 2 i think, riding an ariel Square Four...
