Me and a mate did this run yesterday. See here.

It was a full day riding, we left my house at 9:45am and didn't get back until 6:30pm so it's not suitable for a Sunday morning pre-lunch blast. Apart from the boring bit at the end between Shrewsbury and Wrexham the roads are top notch. We stopped at Bala Lake for an ice cream and Aberystwyth for some lunch (quite a few bikes there) and then headed east towards part of the Marches Meander route.

And despite the reputation of the North Wales police we didn't see a single copper the entire day. Mind you, my mate was on a DRZ400 so our pace wasn't ballistic.
