Not put any on a motorbike, but always used car brake fluid on the bmxs I built. The stuff seemed to set really well, and I'm sure bmx grips get more abuse than motorbike.

brake fluid doesn't set, but is corrosive. you think its melting the rubber to the metal?

No...seriously, hairspray. Spray on the inside of the grip, helps it slide on then sets hard enough to stop the grip twisting.

+1. Big with the serious cyclists from what I hear. I've not tried it on heated grips, mind.

I also lockwire mine on a race bike.
