i use optimax or whtever its called from shell, apart from a few extra mpg and a clean engine i dont think it makes much difference. but its used in race cars(apparently) so i must be going faster! lol

Up to you I believe, majority say don't make a diff but its personal pref.

Fuel light, depends on too much, how you ride, where you are etc, and whether you want to gamble.

I was giving it some welly round a few lanes the other week on the way back (about 50 miles) from home I managed to get 19 - 24 miles ish can't remember precisely giving it fair welly then going down the M42 and 70 contantly for 2 junctions, and when I got off the motorway to the petrol station it started to splutter as I got there so I wouldn't run the risk.

Re: Fuel and tank questions.

the curvy has a reserve of 3 litres - the fuel light flashes at this point. when the light remains on and doesnt flash it's 1 litre. For my restricted bike I make it 60 miles on 3 litres (theoretically). I have yet to try it but I have pushed as far as 40 miles on 2 litres of fuel.

60 miles on 3 litres? That is surprising fuel consumption... 91mpg.

Cheers
