yorkshire born and bred just like the kid of the hovis advert I have indeed pushed my bike to the top of a cobbled hill and then cycled down it whilst wearing a flat cap, blazer and shorts.

I'm a maybe mate, but i'll only be able to come by bike as otherwise its mainline train and a coupe of buses for me.

fecking hate public transport but being a northerner, the tube is always novel for about 5 minutes :)

I was gonna say if no one can make it, I'll just do my usual thing and have a few beers in the hotel.

hmmm, where would you guys recommend within a mile of russell square? If there's somewhere really worth travelling that bit further for then I'll be up for it but I don't fancy going too far as I missed the tube home last time (although that was with friends and I was pished as a fart so we ended up having to walk from tottenham court road to queensway in the rain at 1 in the morning). Not banking on a late one but I always seem to end up with bad luck like that

I know there is a great little mexican canteena thingy not far from there. I took the SOho lot there one night as a chnage from our normal food routine.

I'll defo come and have some mexican with you and the food will mean i can have a beer or 2 as well and still be fine to ride the bike :)

Slightly out of your 1 mile radius but.........

The Wenlock Arms is a fine pub selling great beer and its only 2 stops on the Northern Line from Euston station.

I'll even leave the bike at home for the Wenlock :)

Their food offering is not as exciting as Spideys Mexican (they do sandwiches) but they are good, cheap sandwiches :)

Its on Goode Street, at the Tottenham Court Road end Paul. I'm not much of a pub afficianado so have no idea what a "good" pub is but i know there are plenty around and about Tottenham Ct Rd too.
