Sorry to hear this mate. When I did my test I got a minor for doing 30 in a 40 zone in the rain. I was not holding up any traffic either. As we all know, you should ride at the speed appropriate to the conditions, which it sounds like you did. I would contest the examiners decision, but I suspect you'll get nowhere. Better luck next time.

Oh that's plain ridiculous:( It must have been obvious that you ride to the limit.

You can't contest the examiner's decision, the result will not change. But you might get a free resit.

Do the test again asap:D

That does seem more than a little bit unfair. But then, one of the guys I did my intensive training course with (many, many moons ago) got failed because someone cut him up on a roundabout - apparently he didn't take the correct avoiding action (ehhh?????)

Keep at it and don't let them grind you down

contest it. 1 major contested will resulting in your winning providing you put together a tidy case and if it's as clear cut as you suggest then it shouldn't be a problem.

Whack a complaint in, if you are in that much of a belief it was harsh.

Dependant on the road and conditions Depends on that being a minor or major, a got my only minor on my bike test for going 30 in a 40 but i didnt know the road and there wasnt a sign saying the speed limit was now a 40. on a 60 your expect to go 60 in dry conditions, sharp bend and heavy rain fall is normally what will slow you down. temporaty speed limits including them on bends i was taught are still the law not advise. so really you should of passed if that makes you feel any better. good luck for next time then

I'd be livid at that contest it, take a picture of the sign, even offer to take them there, if the sign says sharp bend max speed 40 then the max speed is 40

seems like a very unsympathetic examiner you had there.
Unlucky mate, at least you know for next time.
