Anyway, back to thread, Medical folk, ie Claire etc, what would the purpose of a steroid injection be? Just pain relief?

It's mega sore, and the Dr was gonna stick a big needle into my shoulder to give me a steriod injection and I said "hmmm, maybe we can try other avenues such as NSAIDs and rest first?" and she said "OK." Phew, that really was a close call. Although, if shoulder isn't better in two weeks I am getting the needle....:smt089

Totally Sucks.

How did you get the injury, also do you pay into the job phyisco scheme?
If you don't you wish would have if you need it. Light duties isn't so bad...I have been throught that frustration more than once.

Feel better soon:cool:

Got it in a rumble a few weeks ago. Yes I pay into all those schemes but hopefully a bit of rest will help and I won't need to use it.

Don't be such a whoos, I have had a couple of steroid/cortisone injections in my shoulder, never felt a thing. Everyone say they hurt. ******** far better not to feel the daily pain for a while for the sake of a couple of seconds discomfort.

I would quite gladly have one right now as my shoulder is nagging (landed on it after being launched from behind at a red light 6 years ago)
