Once a president I think they retain the title......the other day they were still refering to clinton as President Clinton (not ex).
I also think it is just a respect and decency thing. You would not meet the queen and just call her Lizzy. I imagine if you thought along those lines, with those attitudes you would never be in a position to meet her directly anyway, or any presidents. |

Nah, to me they'd just be another person on the street TBH. At the end of the day they are human the same as me and we both take a **** at the end of the day. I only address people as "Mr" (or Mrs etc) if I have a lot of respect for them.
Respect for Bush?... :lol: If he got hissy with me for not calling him "Mr President" I'd tell him where to go.....in the same way that I raise two fingers at Buckingham Palace every morning :D |
