Re: Jimmy Numbers is in hospital

Took ill at the weekend, stomach cramps and lower abdomonal pain. Monday was the classic sign when I couldn't lift my right leg. Went to see the doctor, and was refered to Monklands immediately.

Put straight away onto drips after examination, and got the appendix whipped out on Tuesday morning.

Not a nice thing to have done to you (they've to cut through 3 layers of muscle to get to the appendix and bowels)...

Result is I can barely move in the hossie bed without it hurting like hell. I now know what Keano Reaves felt like in the Matrix with all those pipes attached to him - bloody awkward when trying to do the toilet.... then try getting redressed again....:twisted::twisted:

Mum brought in the laptop for me and some DVD's and stuff so I wouldn't go mad with boredom..... but the hossie food is crap to say the least, you cannae get toast, the bed is giving me backache, and I WANT HOME....

But it's up to the doctor's discrection whether I can get out or not......
Trying to shower (or get there to have one)with a fresh deep 3.5" scar on your lower abdomen, then being unable to dress yourself, cos you can't bend over is annoying and slightly embarrassing. Wouldn't be the first time in the past day I've had to ask for help from the stunner Belfast nurse who's helping me trying to cope... On the plus side, I know her addy in Belfast now, and go there already with the truck a few times with the truck:cheers:

oh and morphine is sore stuff when it's being pumped into your arm.
Im in ward 4a Monklands visiting times 3-4 or 7-8 if I'm being kept in for another night....

Been told I've to spend another night for "observation". They offered dinner the night at 4:45pm

"Vienna Steak" :smt100:smt100:confused::confused: Precooked mash tatties, and a precooked "hamburger" with a sauce on top more like it.. Took one look at it, and said no thanks... I'd rather starve first that eat this muck on a poly plate and I wouldn't give it to my dog....... and that's fact....

I looked through my notes the day, and I'm out tomorrow. THANK YOU!!!! Back to a decent bed, decent tea in a decent mug, and TOAST

Aparently a toaster in Monklands is a "Fire Hazard". But the staff can have some:smt025:smt025:smt025

As Quedos says, "I hope you won't catch anything in Monklands"
Yep you are correct pal - Food Poisoning......:mad::mad:
