Re: Hand Guards

I liked my handguards last winter, need to fit them soon.

I liked them, but I have large hands, so the tips of my fingers got a bit nippy.

I also ran heated grips along with this, and found it to be a much better improvement on stock.

Would that still work even if you had really long arms?

You just need to ride faster, that way you're exposed to the cold for less time and fear will stop you feeling it anyhow...:p

That is the last thing I have expected you to reply with.

I fitted some of these DL handguards on Wednesday evening and tbh it does feel better. Riding to and from work (05:30 and 18:30) I could feel the cold wind against my torso but the usual chill in my hands was noticably reduced. Fair enough, not as effective as heated gloves or grips but for the cost they are well worth it.

Yes also have the DL hanguards from Robinson Foundry plus heated grips. Not as good as heated gloves but I found that such a faffing about with the wires/cables. The guards protected my levers from snapping off or the tips coming off when I had to lay my bike down. Well recommended. :smt023
