So, take 2 mins to pull over and find out if its important...

I am sure the quoted reply has been heard by many a police officer on pulling someone over using a handset in a car "I was only finding out if it was important officer."

As you can guess I object to people doing anything that distracts from driving - and I am sure that someone would consider me listening to music as I ride to be in that category, so its all about our own interpretations - ie, none of these responses are a personal attack, just my advice as asked for :)

Last time I crashed it took all of about 2 seconds so in two minutes you can crash sixty times over, I wasn't on the phone then though so maybe more ;-)

Doesn't the Scala one do pillion to pillion without going through the phone? with regards to taking calls on the bike, it's the only peace and quiet I get, sod taking calls there too

My experience is from testing the unit only - obviously you wanna find out if it is possible to talk and ride, before you work out whether you want to. Well I did anyway. It is very distracting, agreed. Weirdly, bike to bike intercom is much less so - even though I was talking to the same person with the same kit, only she was on a bike behind me rather than sat at home on the phone.

Yeah the Q2 does bike to bike communication and/or pillion communication but aswell as mobile phone, fm radio and mp3 input.

Thinking about it that's a touch unfair, the, I'm riding, I'm not, was about 2 seconds the slide followed by the thud, then the pain, then the, oooh, were's the bike was a touch longer, lol

I've got a Scala Rider FM and it's brilliant. I can take and make calls at anything up to 100mph (in foreign M'lud) quite happily when it's fitted to my Nitro flip front lid. It takes a while to get the earpieces in the correct places but it's worth presevering with them until they are just right.

It's easily hooked up to an MP3 player or my Garmin sat nav, but the sat nav will only work properly when I'm using my old Sony Ericcson K800i, and not my new Nokia E75. I doubt any Garmin will work with an iPhone, but the Scala should as long as it has bluetooth.

Well I ended up getting a Scala Rider Q2 and its amazing!! Crystal Clear and no1 knows I'm on my motorbike. Occasionally I say "Where do you think I am?" and they reply, "At home?", "Nope I am doing 70MPH down dual carriageway, ha!"

But my only problem is that I have an iPhone with coPilot which is amazing but unfortunately the iPhone doesn't bluetooth the voice directions to the scala, anyone know a way around this?
