But check the details closely to see if it does suit you. I considered it but the travel ins bit didn't cover bike use, so I'd need separate cover for my hols, which sort of made the rest of the pack uneconomic for me. The only problem is you get whatever is in the pack. If it suits then it can be good value indeed.

I'm with the AA and am sure I read in their T&Cs that they don't, perhaps I'll just have to say I broke down in a hedge:D

Have to say the two times I've needed it the AA have been great, 3.5hrs from bike stopping to being at the nearest KTM dealer, in Germany, in Nuremburg, at rush hour, in the snow, with a non-english speaking recovery driver

As for arguing, they've hearrd it all before while you're on the phone, as above, give them an ultimatum and make them call you:cool:

Well it was since thier change to Centrica thats for sure. The RAC T&C also states they dont do accident pick ups. The collected Verna last year.

Interesting, I'll be phoning them first if I come off the ADV then

When I had the little roadsign interface in May last year the insurance company were ****ing useless, "we need a postcode to locate you" - err, yeah, I'm on a country lane several counties from where I live with a busted hand, and even after someone ran off to a pub round the corner to get the postcode off them they didn't have any recovery trucks available, had to get a friend of a friend with a van to come and carry the bike away as I was dispatched to A&E:rolleyes:

I would ring them and see if they can do you something cheaper. When I joined the AA it was around £70 but when my renewal came through it jumped up to over £100!!! I rang them and asked why and it all boiled down to the fact that I was no longer a new customer. They had the cheek to tell me to quit my renewal then re-join online and get the discount - I asked why they couldnt just match the price and they spewed out some rubbish

Needless to say I told them Im not renewing and Im now a member of the RAC. We shall see how much my renwal is in a years time! Its such an effort cancelling and renewing..but I guess if it means you save money then so be it.

Let us know how you get on Quiff :D

It worked for me, told them I would go elsewhere and collect their rivals new customer discount so eventually they discounted the renewal price to the online price. Bit of haggling always works, do it with insurance too
