It's good to see our moderators enforcing the will of the majority in ensuring any humour which could possibly offend is kept out of the safety of these U rated walls.

Point of order-----Surely the parrot is a Norweigan Blue and so this thread is offensive to Nordics?

How many Scousers are there on here and were any offended by it?
There is at least 2 Liverpudlians on this forum i know of and apparently im supposed to show some "foresight" and protect them from the possibility of being offended by what many others see only as humour

Does Tim Wilky get a ban everytime he mentions folk from Yorkshire for being tight etc etc, and likewise do those Tykes get banned everytime they give it back to TW as a Lancastrian? No and they shouldnt be either.
Well according to those who were offended by comments about when a child grows up to be an adult and lobbied the mods to reverse my decision and succeded in getting the thread deleted when it really harmed no one at all...its something i need to keep a close eye on in the future. So Tim, i'm watching you.

Up here, we are northerners, we eat tripe, wear flat caps and all own Whippets. The Rag & Bone man comes round weekly and people keep ferrets as pets. The coal man pops around every so often while Billy Elliot and his mates dance around like fairies in the street.

Southerners? Soft southern Shandy drinkers whose beer tastes like swill, not like good northern beer, and its too cold in the North for those in the south to migrate.
You sir run the risk of offending a large part of the forum with those comments

There has always been plenty of banter between regions on this forum and its always been like that. By supressing the proletariat in such a manner, you risk alienating and turning people away. I know this has always been a U rated site (some recent threads have pushed this to the limit) but there surely has to be some rational thought to trying to ban photo's of Scousers, wearing Liverpool tops and big wigs.
In the same way perhaps as a quip that goes "whats good about twntytwo year olds? That there are 20 of them" should be seen as being humorous you mean? That in fact it does not allude to condoning child abuse in anyway and is only a well owrded quip that can be taken by the hysterical to mean what it is that ONLY they want it to mean?

By focusing on regional differences, its not "racist" as Scousers aren't a "race" (although they may like to be), likewise neither are Geordies, Brummies, Cockneys, Potters or Mancs.

Political Correctness has gone far too far in everything else in society and I would like to think the balance could be redressed on this site using rational thought. This kind of action only serves to fuel the PC argument and **** people off.

If what I have said is out of turn, please dont delete it but leave it open to debate.

Goodness me man...are you suggesting what i think you're suggesting?.

Namely this forum is used by adults who can make up their own minds about whats funny or not and should not allow their own personal taste or sense of humour to be more valid than someone elses? That if they dont like the humour they encounter in a thread to report it to the mods and then accept the decision the mod has made and not escalate it into a far bigger thing that it actually is?
Is this what you are suggesting cos if it is, i fear you and i are in an apparent minority and the "majority" of this forum want things they personally dont find funny deleted and use the fact that there is a u rating to justify this when none of the words used went past the u rating or even bypassed the swear filter to do so.

Weird how people who are quite happy to use innuendo to make crass jokes themselves are suddenly the arbiters of good taste and decency when they encounter humour not up their street.
