Re: Pyramid Fender Extender
I put mine on with screws, I fail to see why anyone cares that these should be hidden when you can see lots of screwheads, bolts and nuts all over the machine.

Re: Pyramid Fender Extender
I glued mine on using both a quick drying epoxy and silicone.
Applied high temp sillicone (the stuff used for gaskets) in between and then used epoxy on the underside edges in several spots to hold in place till the sillicone dryed. Only had to hold it together for a few minutes till the epoxy dried before putting it back on the bike. Waited overnite before riding. |
Re: Pyramid Fender Extender
Silicone Sealant for me. Just normal unibond stuff, stayed on for a grand total of a year and 8000miles until I crashed it. It was still rock solid until that point.

Re: Pyramid Fender Extender
I used araldite.
Take off the fender and put the extender in place and draw round it. this marks the area you need to abrade with a bit of emery cloth, wipe clean after. apply adhesive and hold in place with three G clamps overnight. I have seen quite nice jobs where the edge of the joint has been filled in and the whole fender repainted to look like a one piece job. |

Better still a cup of water with a couple of drops of washing up liquid in it I used araldite, but it is a bugger to get off, if you get it in the wrong place. |
