What she said. Also there may be a slim chance that one or two of your bits stay in their possession. Then if they get pulled for something else your relatively small theft starts adding to a much bigger picture

I know what your saying and I know most will agree with you but as I know the outcome already, I dont wanna waste police time. I'll prob get flammed for saying it but they've got enough stuff going on already as it is, the figures dont really do much for me and as annyoed as I am, I know Im not getting the wheels back nor the hammers.
Its just 5hitty that the scum know that they'll get away with it, its that they have the ordasity to drive around random streets with other peoples stuff piled in the back knowing as long as they've weighed it in before half 5 then it'll be at the scrap yard (and therefore they'll be holding the cash) before its even reported stollen.

Other than reporting it and clearing any remaining stuff out of my garden, anyone got any suggestions for what I can do other than fume.

I know what you mean, we get them round the estate every other day lifting stuff and if you see them snooping about and tell them no you cant take stuff they come back and try again and again until you dont see them or are not in to stop them. Only the other day they took a neighbours kids trampoline out of his back garden? how can they do this and get away with it.

I had the metal grate from my coal chute stolen the other week. Considering the location, it's probably the same scum doing the rounds.

We have been asked by the local bobbies to let them know of every little item so that they can build up a picture of what is happening, and task resources accordingly. We have had quite a few house walk in crimes recently and they have turned up and contacted neighbours, etc. and they are turning up for minor crimes such as vandalism and smashed car mirrors. Maybe not immediately but at least you can see activity.

I don't know with them. The other week as they were passing I let them know I had clocked them and they carried on down the road. But a while back they actually asked if we had any scrap. Just an old fridge if you want it.

Saved me the job of taking it to the dump. sorry recycling centre. although I can imagine they probably left it on one of their illegal camp sites with the rest of the rubbish

fridges contain CFCs which need disposing of properly. Hence they actually charge to take them now.

So the hole in the ozone layer is all your fault! Betcha feel guilty now;)

So you recon its worth reporting it so that the crims can be given more rope in the event of when they're eventually/if caught red handed?
