Have gixxer thousand kayabas on mine, seem alright to me, certainly better than the stock showas on the 650, but from what I've heard the sv1000 forks are better than the 650's anyway.

They were, but, there was a bit of hesitation and spongey-ness in fast corners I found, that is another reason for wanting to upgrade to GSXR forks, just brought all the work forward dumping Leana over a week ago

If I would be wanting to change springs etc I would buy decent suspention, but, as I just want some good forks that can be adjusted to suit my weight and that of the bike I think K4 forks would be adequate for what I need, if I was a serious racer and/or track day goer the showa K7's might be better...

I am a real n00b when it comes to the "dark art" of suspention, so, what do you mean by spring rates? How do I find them out or test new forks for them? The spongey-ness was the front forks feeling like they wanted to fold, maybe set too soft?

Whats wrong with some normal SV1000 forks. From what I understood they have decent adjustment on them already. Didnt them come from an older generation GSXR750 ?

The issue I have with the SV forks are three fold; They look horrible (in my opinion,) mine didn't feel that stable and when you got to pay for forks why not get better ones instead of the standard?
