Surely a pink Triangle?

Mind you last time I saw a guy in a dress leading the proceedings, he was a transvestite DJ at a gay club. Old Queens are always more right wing than any one else...

What exactly does the pope do to deserve any real respect?

Pope John Paul II was worthy of respect, I don't know enough about the current one.

Talk to my Mother about the Churches work in Africa and have a look at some pictures of the villages and the thousands of people who have a life and livelihood because of the Church and you would all be less flippant.

I wish I'd been at that session - I'd have had a few choice ideas to throw into the pot! Why anyone felt the need to apologise is beyond me - you should have heard some of the ideas we had at the session on what we'd do with the long-term unemplyed!:rambo:

I'm sure they're all incredibly thankful and humbled that western religion has shown them the error of their ways.

+1. JPII was brilliant, unlike those (average) ones that have followed.

Irrespective of beliefs, or otherwise, what the majority of churches achieve around the world is highly commendable.

What has happened in Ireland, and the subsequent cover ups are 'criminal' to say the least.

As to the comments in an internal email; a) it was an internal email, hence private, and it's disappointing when someone 'whislteblows' what was probably said in jest, irrespective of whether or not it is in bad taste, and b) it was a joke, and I would hope we're big enough to rise above what some see as more than just a joke.

If it was more than just a joke, then that shows a lack of respect for one of the world's largest organisations for good, belief notwithstanding. Taking cheap pot shots says more about the shooter than the shot.

Pope JP II was indeed worthy of respect, this one just seems to have had a bad rep since he started, I'm sure hes very worthy of his title, but all these little stories about being a Nazi(although not sure he was one, but something to do with em none the less) and the scandel over the Irish priests, to name a couple, don't really help him any do they?

Besides his eyes are beady and dark, and too close together for my liking, looks like a hoodwinker to me:rolleyes:
