go on ebay and search cottong reels. there is a guy selling them for around £20 a pair and they're spot on

If you have a rear stand with hooks you can only use it on a bike with bobbins, where as a normal plate stand is more versatile, depends if you only want it for your own bike hooks and bobbins or any bike, plates

It's only to be used on my own bike. have ordered a set of bobbins and some hooks. hopefully they'll arrive soon so i can give the chain a proper clean without fannying about!

Hook and bobbins I would say.

i dont use them but my swing arm now has a few scratches on it. I have a crap paddock stand too.

For future reference for me, its probably worth spending a bit more money on decent stands and bobbins.

But if you want something that's really stable buy an ABBA stand

Mine slipped off the paddock stand with cups fitted, so I changed them for hooks and bobbins. Much safer, but not as good as the ABBA

I have the ally motrax stand and im really pleased with it, it looks the booolloox.
I personally wouldnt trust anything but hooks and bobbins.

Duct tape over the hooks if you are worried about scoring the swing arm.

Only a few mill. clearance with my set up.

The ABBA stands look the way forward alot more practical than the paddock stands.
I did not trust the cups used them once on my stand and went and bought bobbins the following day.

Has anyone used a abba front lift?
as that will sway me into purchasing a set
